Key : Renewable Material, Green Urban Space
The building’s layout avoids existing trees, resulting in an X-shaped massing. This configuration determined the structure and spatial program. The staircase is positioned at the rear to provide an experience of entering and exiting the building. The house uses wood, aligning with the concept of renewable materials as a key aspect of sustainable development, as outlined in the brief. Although the wood industry in Indonesia is not yet large-scale, considering the potential of its forests and plantations, this material can meet the housing needs across the country.
