Key : Green Urban Space, Low Energy Building

Owning a house in a village setting is a deliberate choice by the homeowners. Their reason is to raise their children in a more socio-economically diverse environment. Despite the location, the available land is quite expansive at 900 square meters. However, the built-up area is not extensive, leaving ample space for a green yard where trees can be planted and children, along with neighbors, can have a play area.

This house is designed to eliminate the need for air conditioning, which is one of the most energy-intensive components in typical Indonesian homes. To achieve this, the design emphasizes strategic openings and cross-ventilation. The building is intentionally understated, blending harmoniously with its surroundings rather than standing out.
