Key : Social Landscape Design Approach, Water Sensitive Development
The name Nusa Dua originates from the presence of two islands that emerge during high tide. Both islands hold sacred value for the indigenous Balinese people and have temples on them. When commercializing parts of this area, it is essential to preserve these traditional values. The new circulation system and facilities should not affect the community’s access to the temples. Additionally, new designs should primarily focus on landscaping. If any new buildings are introduced, they should blend seamlessly with the landscape. Rocks need to be placed along the path leading to the water blow point, which is a popular spot for tourists.
