Key : Low Energy Building, Refurbishment, Building Re-use
The BHC headquarters is a repurposed former Bank Permata building. Instead of demolishing the structure and rebuilding it to the same height, it was proposed to only treat the building facade to enhance performance and create a new identity. This approach not only saves costs but also drastically reduces the carbon footprint. The secondary skin allows heat radiation to dissipate before reaching the building’s walls, reducing the need for air conditioning as it doesn’t have to cool the maximum heat.
