Key : Rice Field Conservation, Water Sensitive Development, Recycled and Wasted Material Utilization
Many rice fields have been sacrificed to build new facilities, especially in rapidly developing tourist areas. Banyuwangi is one such region experiencing significant growth. This hotel is constructed with a commitment to preserving the surrounding clove plantations and rice fields. In the future, these agricultural areas will be carefully managed to provide food for the hotel.
The building is constructed with steel to allow for future disassembly, ensuring it leaves no damaging footprint. Additionally, the hotel predominantly uses wood residue as a building material, leveraging the fact that one of the owners is in the furniture business. Repurposing wood residue not only reduces waste but also contributes to sustainable practices.
