Key : Low Energy Building
The renovation of this indoor tennis stadium focuses on energy efficiency. The old facade, which essentially enclosed a dark perimeter corridor with artificial ventilation, has been dismantled to allow natural light and air to enter while preventing rainwater ingress. Expanded metal, curved to direct water drops away from the building’s floor, is used for the new facade. The circulation system for accessing the seating areas has also been improved so that reaching the top tier of the stands no longer requires passing through the lower spectator areas.
